Sometimes we are confronted with the problem of removing stain from our carpets or rugs. Grime, everyday dirt, and pet odors can produce a bad smelling carpet or rug. Dirt is like thousands of little blades that cut carpet fibers. If you dont clean your carpets on a regular basis you will need to use a stronger chemical product because the dirt will have ground itself deeper into the carpet and it becomes more difficult to lift.
Actually it only takes a few minutes to make your carpet perfectly clean. Especially for remove rust you need items like a stiff brush, rubber gloves, carpet shampooer, wet vac, and brake dust cleaner to clean your carpets or rugs. The last one is an acid that cleans the black brake dust off of chrome or aluminum wheels to keep them from pitting. This is usually a hydrofluoric acid and can burn your skin so please be careful and use the gloves. You will need to follow the directions for safety on the bottle.
To remove rust from your carpets, first put on the gloves, and you have to test the brake dust cleaner into a patch of carpet. You can spray a patch of carpet to make sure that it doesn’t hurt the area you are trying to repair. If its success, get the area you want to repair and then wet with the brush and the bucket. You want to try to get the fiber portion of the carpet saturated but not so much that is soaks the flooring under the carpet. After that, spray the rust encrusted area with the brake dust cleaner. Immediately scrubbing it with the brush and braking down the rust particles. You may need to add more water to your brush to keep it saturated. When all of the rust has been displaced, go over it again with plenty of water with the brush in an attempt to begin nutrilizing the acid. Run a shampooer over the area completely and let dry. If the rust is not completely disappear, you may repeat the process.
