Carpet runner is a rug in any size from about 2′ x 5′ to 3′ x 20′. Carpet runner is very long. It is also with bright colours and geometric patterns. An oriental rug and carpet runner is a piled or flatwoven fabric hand-knotted in one of the traditional weaving areas of the middle or far east. Genuine rug and carpet runner runners come from India, Iran, Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet, Turkey, some of the southern territories of the old Soviet Union (like Azerbaijan or Armenia), Balkan countries like Albania and Romania, and some north African countries like Egypt and Morocco. Oriental rug and carpet runner are either knotted with pile or woven without pile and made by machine or any method other than hand knotting or hand weaving are not considered authentic oriental rug and carpet runner.

Carpet runner is a great way to welcome your guests. Carpet runner is simply placed on top of the carpeting without a retaining device, it will creep or move relative to the surface upon which it is placed.
